The regulatory protections for professional clients are less stringent compared to retail clients, reflecting their higher level of sophistication.

In essence, while professional clients are granted more leeway in accessing complex and risky investment products, retail clients are offered more safeguards due to their generally lower risk tolerance and investment expertise.
